everyone loves the idea of "draining the lymph"...
...very few understand what it truly means
You've read the conflicting articles and posts, watched the videos, bought the brushes, tried the teas...and even perhaps got a "one-off" drainage "massage" appointment (or worse - a fake lymphatic facial!). This is all great, but as a multi-certified lymph therapist with many years of hands-on and clinical experience, I am here to tell you that supporting your lymphatic system involves constant, gentle effort to support the WHOLE body in everyday life. It's a LIFESTYLE! Lymphatic health is a gentle, cumulative practice—it is the foundation of your long-term vitality, not a one-session shortcut. This is why in my work, I take the time to truly understand the needs of your lymphatic system & craft a plan so you know exactly what to do to cultivate lymphatic flow in your everyday life. Because when you truly support your lymphatic system, you support your WHOLE body.
The lymphatic system does so much for our body
...but rarely gets the credit it deserves
Because of its elusive morphology and mysterious pathophysiology (it cannot easily be “seen” when dissecting a body), the lymphatic system has been flying under the radar of the modern world, receiving much less scientific and medical attention for over 100 years. The lymph has been overlooked, underestimated and dismissed for so long in our modern world that we have forgotten how powerful it actually is, especially when it comes to helping us recover physically or emotionally, feel our best & look our best!
Our lymphatic system already has the wisdom to support our body, we just have to rediscover how to support it properly with the right solutions!
True Lymphatic Congestion Expertise
My 3D Signature Method
This integrated method works in perfect synergy to support your body in all three critical areas of lymphatic congestion. It’s not just a collection of therapies; it is a holistic system developed from years of mastering the face and body’s intricate needs. When we restore this three-dimensional flow, the body functions better, and you feel profoundly lighter, healthier, and balanced.

Drainage
Consistent lymph flow brings essential nutrients for tissue regeneration, such as fats, proteins, and water. Many lifestyle habits promote lymph congestion. This can then lead to internal changes in our tissues and organs, which affect our vitality, and external changes in our tissues, which affect our radiance on the outside. The good news is, we can help restore & promote proper lymph flow and therefore the health of our tissues with manual techniques. I like to combine in-clinic manual drainage sessions with the proper lifestyle changes, tools, techniques and technologies at home.

Detox
Gentle support of the detoxification systems from everyday chemicals exposure. The term "chemical" is used here to describe the waste produced by our cells daily, the various toxicants we can be exposed to in everyday life, as well as our thoughts and emotions. If our body is not flowing properly to clean it all up, waste can accumulate in our cells, tissues and organs and also create various internal and external symptoms. Proper, gentle detoxification, combined with a low-tox living philosophy and mindfulness strategies, can help unburden the body and help us feel like ourselves again, while supporting external improvements as well.

Dermal
The dermis, which is part of the connective tissue network, is the type of tissue that our lymph flows through. Connective tissue includes fascia, adipose (fat) tissue, cartilage, dermis, tendons, ligaments, bone, blood/blood vessels, and is even part of the gut and lung lining. Part of aging is the concept that connective tissue changes occurs as you gradually accumulate damage in the body over time. By improving dermal health, we can not only improve lymphatic flow but also the visual symptoms of aging. I provide non-thermal, non-invasive state-of-the-art therapeutic combinations to unlock your tissue's optimal regenerative potential.
How Did I Get Here?
Chances are by now you are wondering who is behind The Lymph Initiatives, so let me properly introduce myself. My name is Genevieve Albert-Mawhinney, I am a retired Facialist turned Lymphatic Health Specialist. After almost two decades of dedicated practice in dermal and connective tissue health, I have pioneered the 3D approach, integrating my extensive tissue knowledge with specialized lymphatic care. It all started in 2019: As a Facialist always looking for natural ways to support my client’s well-being wholistically, I started introducing lymph work in my practice. It completely changed the trajectory of my career, and the way I help my clients with their well-being.
FAQ
The lymphatic system transports the lymph (a clear-to-white fluid) throughout the body. It also transports our immune system, healthy fats, proteins and water to all of our tissues. The lymphatic system’s main purpose is to exchange nutrients and waste deep in our tissues (even where blood vessels can’t reach) so our cells can bathe in a clean environment where they can thrive and be healthy. Because of its elusive morphology and mysterious pathophysiology (it cannot easily be “seen” when dissecting a body), the lymphatic system has been flying under the radar of conventional medicine, receiving much less scientific and medical attention because. However, a series of landmark discoveries made in the past decade has begun to change the previous misconception of the lymphatic system to be secondary to health.
The lymphatic system will help neutralize and get rid of dead or dying cells, mutant cells, pathogens (bacteria, viruses, mold, fungus), synthetic man-made substances (such as colorants, preservatives, pesticides, etc.), and heavy metals or minerals (zinc, asbestos, silica, mercury, arsenic, cadmium, etc.). Basically, the lymphatic system will collect anything that is not supposed to be there or is not used by the cells to create new cells or produce energy. This is why moving the lymph, detoxifying the right way and living a “low-tox” life will help support your whole body because the lymphatic system will not be burdened dealing with that waste.
There are many factors that can influence lymphatic health, such as: Genetics, lymph node/lymph organs removal or damage, cancer, chronic infections, chronic stress, nervous system dysregulation, inflammation, toxic burden, poor nutrition, lack of movement, surgical procedures…the list goes on.
There are many signs of lymphatic congestion, which can range from swelling, cellulite, acne, excessive burping to undigested food particles in the stool. It’s important to know the stage of lymph congestion you are in to ensure you receive services that will help you get results.
